Mr Dhanani is a geoscientist by training with over 30 years of experience with super-majors in five continents, mostly with BP. He has occupied a range of technical and managerial positions in exploration and production including operations, new acreage access, technical evaluations and project management. His most recent assignment was as a Technical Director with BP in Libya where he was part of the team that negotiated a $2.2 billion exploration & appraisal contract covering 54,000 square kilometres in the Libyan onshore Ghadames and deep offshore Sirt basins. Also, he was part of the team starting up the world’s largest seismic operations both onshore and offshore Libya and initiating a very extensive exploration drilling programme.
